About

Who are we?

Waterloo Region Greens is an informal collaboration of the Green Party associations in the five ridings in Waterloo Region, including both federal electoral district associations (EDAs) and Ontario provincial constituency associations (CAs). By working together, we can share resources, knowledge and experience with our friends across the region.

We aim to build upon the success of Mike Morrice being elected as the MP for Kitchener-Centre. Isn’t it time we elect more Greens to Ottawa to help Elizabeth May and Mike Morrice accomplish even more?

Many of us also volunteer to support Mike Schreiner, the MPP for Guelph, and leader of the Green Party of Ontario. Let’s work together to bring Green values to Queen’s Park!

We can only be successful with the help of volunteers and generous donations, so please consider contributing in whatever way you can to help us continue to grow. Subscribe to this blog for notification of local events! And why not join your local Riding Association today and be a part of the change you want to see in the world?

Origins

During the 42nd Canadian Federal Election in 2015,  the five Waterloo Region branches of the Green Party came together to form #WRGreens.   As our association has proven a success, we’ve decided to keep it going.

This blog is intended to provide announcements of local Green events  both federal and provincial  as well as articles and commentary of interest to greens in the Region.
